Re: Terry ABF floor repair/rebuild
Thanks vegasphotoman, ya know,- the outboard ain't too bad either!! heh- heh heh- heh. Some more boat porn-
I completely rebuilt the power trim assy/motor/cylinders with what was available. Some parts were no longer available and I had to make my own( some bearings) I really could have used a new armature ( just a fuzz out of balance) it is a little noisy but livable and it works. The pump portion was a roll of the dice-it would not work very good(slow to no lifting)bad news was- they don't offer it anymore and I could not find a rebuild kit( other than o rings) but-----drum roll here--- I was able to score a BRAND NEW PUMP!!!! New old stock- I did some trading and some cash to get it!!! the trim sender windings were toast so I just removed them from the spool on the left cylinder- I am not too concerned with having a trim gauge as the gauge I have is raggedy looking anyway. This is the calico pump which is very rare- I was bidding on a used one)pump, brackets, cylinders) on the 'bay many months ago, it was used, cleaned for photos and they claimed "it worked when removed". I thought man,300.00 should get it-WRONG!! it went for about 850.00
