Just saw this thread, I guess I'm a tad late.:facepalm: I'm a big NASCAR fan. Was a Big E fan until his passing. Was watching Jeff Burton too for a few years before "the day". Funny, Dale tried to get Burton at RCR for awhile. So now it's Burton all the way. Not too many Burton fans here, except QC
, or at the tracks. I've been to Talladega many times. When they announce the drivers and call out Burtons name, I stand up and yell. People look at me like what's my problem. I'm the only one yelling! He gets alot of respect in the garage area just like Martin. I forget what nickname they gave him. I just heard it too. His contract is up this year. Not sure it will be renewed or not. He's starting to get long in the tooth. I'd like him to become an owner. I just don't see that happening.
The race was pretty good. RCR had a tough time with blown motors.
Still not sure about the pairs going nose to tail. Like someone mentioned, that will only happen at Daytona and 'Dega. Pretty cool seeing that kid Trevor win. I'm sure he's tipping a few somewhere tonight.....
Watched the Nationwide race. It appeared that Danica had no clue what she was suppose to do. She even asked one time, "is it my turn to push", or something to that affect. I started to wonder if anyone told her how to race this track. Or, if they did, apparently she wasn't listening. Boyer was with her for awhile, but said nuts to this and left her out to dry.
I'm just glad NASCAR is back. Between NASCAR and March Madness, I think I can make it thru the rest of winter.
