Re: The Democrats are gunna love this one!
glad you asked, WITF. My conservative viewpoints include, but are not limited to the following:
The power of the federal government over the states must be restricted. Self-government, based on personal integrity of a proper moral foundation, is the best government. Good government is based on the individual, and each persons ability, dignity, freedom, and responsibility must be honored and recognized. Equal opportunity is a right and a privilege but equal outcome is not. No ones rights are negotiable and individual freedom demands personal responsibility. Government spending is out of control and needs to be reduced. The family is the foundational unit of a healthy society and is responsible for its own welfare, education, moral training, conduct, and property. A well-educated population is fundamental to our continued success, and parents have the right, as well as the duty, to direct their childrens education. The future of our country depends upon a strong and vibrant private sector unencumbered by excessive government regulation. A strong America ensures a free America. All Americans have the right to be safe in their homes, on their streets, and in their communities. Enforcement of laws through the swift and sure imposition of justice. Respecting the rights of law-abiding citizens. The elimination of presidential authority to issue executive orders, presidential decision directives, and other administrative mandates that do not have congressional approval, and repeal of all previous executive orders and administrative mandates. Limiting the definition of eminent domain to exclude seizing private property for public or private economic development or for increased tax revenues. I oppose passage of any international treaty that overrides United States sovereignty, including the Kyoto Agreement and the Biodiversity Treaty. I support changes in the Internal Revenue Code to allow a religious organization to address the vital issues of the day without fear of the organization losing its tax-exempt status.
Merry Christmas!
