Share your favorite recipes that you prepare on the boat or RV

You have yet to respond to the other trivial questions that you have asked and people were kind enough to answer. Forums are interactions and not one sided.

There is enough information contained within iboats to keep you reading for years and many years to come.

Might I suggest that you learn to utilize the SEARCH feature and Google.

Re: The Galley

I have cooked and grilled just about everything on my cruiser. Don't have an oven, not enough room.

I put on a fish fry every year at the dock using the pan fish caught only at the dock. I offered others to do the honor, but they keep putting me in charge of the fish. Others have the duty of preparing a covered dishes. I put my seasonings in the egg wash and dip the fish then roll it in flour. This year went over real well using approx 15 pounds of fileted Blue Gill. Next year it has been requested that we have at least 3 fish frys. I keep trying to talk them into having a fish cook off, but most say why since everyone loves my fish.

One of the favorites my grandsons love is the Amish sausage I get from a local farm. I make spagetti with it and it is one thing that those picky little guys love.

Dude ... scare the fish away with that stuff, won't ya'? Besides, any fisherman here in TN knows you go out with beef jerky and RC Cola :D

Re: The Galley

Time goes by differently on a boat than on land. We like to dedicate a good portion of boating time to food!

We cook all the usual stuff...Chicken, Steak, Eggs, cut up a watermelon etc. But one of our favorite things is to make the perfect caf? au lait.
Grind some high dollar coffee, pour it in a french press, add a splash of tepid bottled water, give it a stir.

Next, bring quality bottled water to a powerful boil, pour into a measuring cup to the exact amount of water needed, let it cool down to 203? then pour into the french press.
give it a stir, let it sit for 120 seconds, plunge it, pour into a Thermos.

During the 2 minutes, pour some organic whole milk into a small pot and whisk over heat till it is hot and frothy,

Pour the coffee into a mug, spoon out some milk, give it a stir and contemplate how great life can be!

Actually it's the opposite, for some strange reason the big catfish start showing up about 30 minutes after I finish a can of those and a bag of Cheetos washed down with a big Pepsi.:D

You have read jig's response carefully. He never said he ate the Beanie Weenies. He said "I finish a can of those". He finished baiting/chumming using the BWs, ate the Cheetos because they get too soggy for bait and drank the Pepsi. That is a resourceful fisherman! And look at the size of that cat :D
