Hey Bob Show us some Pics

I'm impressed, I never realized so many liked the 45-70 cal. I thought I was just a nut LOL.
My marlin in the pic is a 45-70, although I also have the marlin 444 but the 45-70 has always been my fav, I have williams fiber optic peeps on both. For a side arm I have only 1 my PPK wifey won't alow me to buy more :(.
For hunting I used to use my little GM made M-1 carbine with the original peeps, last year I started using the rem 30-06 carbine in the pic with the 3x9.

Hey I have an Inland carbine in my cabinet that my Dad bought 50 years ago thru the NRA it is a surplus piece..... Ahh the 45-70 I have ton's of reloads for it and I was even casting my own for it.... I found RL 7 to be a great powder for those rounds. I carried a PPKS during the 1st Gulf War all the time in my waistband ;)

I want to buy or build a nice rifle but stupid California its so hard to shoot anywhere so I just have my shotty. I really feel limited on my stopping power living here. Best thing I have is 00 buck magnum shells.

If I had a job right now I would be shopping for a nice handgun, I am stuck between a glock or Springfield arms. I have shot both at the range but range guns are awfully inaccurate. Shot my buddies glock and shot a range glock, Night and day so I really cant go to the range to decide.

Guns? That's it?

What else can we talk about?

Anybody seen any good movies lately? It is Halloween season, so I've been watching bad ol' B-movie sci-fi flix this week.

Saw ZombieLand the other week. A must see, funnier than heck.

Last week me and my brother saw, The Serious Man. Probably the worst Coen Bros film ever.

In the theater to watch that movie, a couple walk in late, sit right in front of us. That was wierd because we weren't even near the best seats. Besides, the theater had only about 10 people in it. Me and my brother were far enough away from the others so we felt comfortable that our talking wouldn't be rude to others. Except this couple who sat right in front of us.

Anyway, she decided to shoot us a couple dirty looks over her shoulder. Sure, lady.... Then she stands up and turns directly at us and in a loud voice proceeds to tell us how rude we are. The guy she was with didn't do anything except slouch down even further.

After the movie I leaned forward to apoloogize to her. She launched into a huge tirade. I walked away laughing and she followed after me asking why I was laughing.

Later my brother asked why I apologized. I said because I wanted to hear her response. The way she responded confirmed my suspicions. I wouldn't want to be the guy she was with.

Electric power tools versus pneumatic? Can't afford the air stuff, but Harbor Freight has coupons for an electric grinder and 1/2" impact drill. Both could come in handy for me around here. Only $35 for both, including tax.

Buy electric or save my pennies (for a long time) in order to go pneumatic?

And how about those coupons anyway? Cool stuff! :D

My 2 Cents........
ya need a big compressor for a DA...my HF stand up 30 gal wont do a DA well....
the HF electric grinders are great....4 1/2 " grinders...grab a GOOD hold of em tho...they can get away from ya and bite back if you're not careful...and they STAY ON when they get away from ya...locking ON OFF switch!!!

1/2" air impacts rule, mine is a blue point by Snap On tools....Im sure a cheapie would work well for ya..occasional use...electrics arent as strong as the air...but what a deal for non pro usage

GO ELECTRIC HF for $35 for both but they are CHINESE

I do buy some stuff at wally world and HF but would prefer all american products..good luck finding em though!!!!!!!!!! most stuff is imported

MOVIES a super favorite is SHOOT EM UP with Clive Owen...ever see a guy kill 300 people in a movie? No???? this is the movie for ya then....click the link for 9 trailers

EDIT not a good link for iboats ;)

My small arms weapon collection.....
would have about 50 more but they cost $$$$ so.....got these

Sons of Anarchy is a pretty good show weekdays on FX...of course Family Guy and SpongeBob Squarepants are my main fare :D
Zombie land looks like a fairly entertaining flick..........

Boats and Ho's... Now that's a good combo.

I've broken my share of the Chinese tools... I didn't even have to try all that hard :) Truth is Spongebob could break them.

I wonder if she likes boats. She seems really nice to me for some reason.

You know, I check "My Replies" everyday. Well, yesterday, I saw a thread that I didn't remember. Turns out I had the last response to it 5-6 months ago. Guess what the new response yesterday was? Yep, some guy, 1st post, saying that someone else's product is junk, with a link to his website for a better product. Then, after I call him out on it, he searches my old posts, to harass me! Nice! Beware of jerks, liars, and spammers, fellas!

zombieland wasnt that good. if you want a spoof zombie movie try shaun of the dead. i guess you could say im something of a zombie movie freak. i know a lot of people dont like remakes but the new dawn of the dead is probably the best zombie film of all time, and i am including all black and whites from forever ago.

Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

Why does everyone mash on HF tools. When I was wrenching before I got laid off I had a set of HF torx, a set of snap on torx and a set of matco torx. For some odd reason the 5 dollar HF torx lasted the longest.

I have a few snap on pliers, a few craftsman pliers (my fav), matco and HF.

HF pliers are the BEST pliers for heating up and bending into your own special tool.

All the airtools that are branded with the big tool company names are horse****, I have seen the same exact airsaw that snap on and matco sell at HF for 19.99. My air hammer that I paid 2xx bux for is the exact same one that snap on and mac tools sells just has a different name on it.

All these companies are in bed with each other, as for sockets I stick with snap on or matco, they are still made by them and the tolerances are much closer.

I don?t hate America. As a matter of fact, I'm proud to be a service-connected disabled veteran. Nor do I think HF is the worst of the worst. As a matter of fact, I?m happy to see their capitalistic ways interfering with their time to be working on hi-tech stuff like optical guidance systems or nukes. Gotta keep ?em busy somehow and I?d rather it be for power tools than powerful weapons.

As for talking in the theater? it really IS rude, regardless of who got there last. I would have gotten management to ask you to leave.

Thanks, I do believe that I?ll pick up the electrical stuff this week. The price is just too good to pass up, especially since I am not a pro and will rarely be using the equipment. Plus, I don't have a garage and spending $20,000 to build one to hold a compressor and other air tools just isn't in the cards for me. BTW - Family Guy and Spongebob rock!

I?m not anti-gun? as a matter of fact I went to the range this morning. I just wanted to see some variety? looks like we have some now! Neat photos you have there! Couldn?t get ME up there though! LMAO!

And I too liked the remake of Dawn of the Dead and thought Shaun of the Dead was absolutely hysterical.

Wish I could have gone, raining here :( did clean and oil some though. Going upstate tomorrow to play a little :D
I saw your post and used it as a que to introduce something new :D
I actually have no fear of heights, I have hung off the rooftops of buildings on bolston chairs without a problem. I do have one exception, open grate steel deck bridges  the water movement below gets me sick, also escilators, I can't look down at the steps gets me dizzy, NO FIGURE.

I love photographing from the rooftops of NYC I used to have pics that I took from the 108-109 fl mechanical room setbacks ( air intake) of the world trade center till my HD crashed with no backup. Those werent that good though, 1/4 mi in the air everything below looked like ants, my camara wasn't that good

I actually got out of the gun collecting/shooting hobby in the last year. Just too expensive. I went this morning to recheck the sighting of my carry gun (HK P2000SK in .357SIG) and to check the sighting of my snakegun... a .22mag six-shooter that I just got the rear sight for. I also plinked a little with my newly acquired Henry .22 rifle, but on the way home decided to sell the gun. I'd taken it in trade for my old non-working 50hp Johnson outboard. Thought I might keep it, but have no real purpose for it, so it's going bye bye.

Buddy, I get dizzy just looking at those pictures! LOL!
