Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome
That frost was way early last year. And it not only got cold early, but stayed cold for awhile. Then repeated several times. Had more frost last fall/winter than in the 10 years prior.
Gazanias - they did really well and completely shrugged off the frost and freezes. They finally croaked when I hit 'em with too much of the wrong type of fertilizer. I'll be more careful next time. I found a place online that ships flats of 512 for less than 50 bucks, so will be ordering those after the New Year so that I can fill in my perimeter beds.
Will also be transplanting more American Beautyberry shrubs. They grow wild on my place and I mark them whenever I see them. The birds are now starting to harvest some of the berries, while rabbits are "pruning" the smaller limbs.
BWR so thats frost in Sunny Florida? that musta been a rough year for the orange growers! cool pics...I like the sun rays with the sunflowers
and the Gazenias are great they come back year after year here in Vegas...Ive got a bunch...
