As far as your neighbors, that's pathetic. I don't understand why people are so interested in what others are doing. I mean really, bikes? Heck, when I was growing up there were bikes laying everywhere! Kids running the neighborhood being kids. There was never any trouble. Trashed out cars maybe, but bikes??!! It's amazing how a few can dictate how others live based on the likes or dislikes of the complaintants. This world is getting crazier by the minute. I can't believe you actually have a town code on this.
This is a classic example on, "what is happening to us".............

Yep,

I normally plow the entire block after a snow storm including them. WELL..... this winter I know where I am putting the snow!!!!! :D:eek: They will be lucky if they can dig out by spring :D . Ya know Christ once said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they have done" Well..... I am not God nor Christ, I don't have to forgive.
My family has been here for the past 80 years on this block verses his 6 He is in for a real bad hurtin

The Bit@h of it is I am always there to help, they or their son heat breaks down I am always there to fix it FOR FREE !!!!

I saw the inspector yesterday, he passed by to check up on me LOL . The only thing he was able to complain about when he was here the other day was the bikes and 2 pcs of 1/2" plywood, one 4'x4' and one 12x48". I had JUST taken them out of my car!!!!!

He tells me Just because you put up a fence doesn't meen you don't have to remove the bikes!!! I said as calm as I could, Sir, I don't want to get into a contest with you BUT PLEASE give me that $250 ticket for my kids bikes being on the front lawn and I will see you in court with the news media, shame on you, 7 on your side and fox, along with filing a counter that the town is descriminating against me for having children!!!!

He drove away!!!!! No ticket. I am goin to call the town and find out if this is a real law. Now they have my dander up

Why should you fence in YOUR yard?

THEYshould be fenced in, and if the view of your house offends them, they can make THEIR fence higher....

They probably don't have kids.

There is little respect for private property in this country anymore...

Hey bill-
what is it called when a town passes laws, an ordanance????
anyways the point I was going to make is that if your yard is generly clean +-
and all the bikes and toys are being used and not abandoned, what's the issue, it is not garbage.

Nope all their kids are grown, they themselves are in their 60's.
They spend their time staring across the street, My wife actually insisted that I put up a fence.

I hate to say it BUT they are not even American Citizens, they came here from Yugoslovia, and work the system for all its worth.

I'm thinking that the American flag that I proudly fly on my home offends them!

Hey RBH,
How goes it up north????

Their problem is my home is "The House on the Block" , ALL the neighborhood kids come here to play. The thing is, Colleen (wife) and I can keep an eye on them and know they are all safe.

The front yard is relativily clean, I have bikes & scooters that are used all the time.

Make it bigger.

LOL, They have been real scarce since this all started :( Maybe because I have been going out doing a lot of shooting getting ready for hunting season :D Putting in the Jeep my AR-15's (my fun toys) 1895 lever action 45-70 Rem 742 Etc , Etc, Etc.... LOL Just jidding, maybe......

On a serious not I am still ready to clean their clock. I haven't wanted to pound someone this bad in 20 years. They are the typical, they come to this country and milk it for all its worth using our system against us. BUT on another note, back to projects and fun..........

HIJACK!!!!!

I am getting myself into another project!!!!::D , This has turned into a while I'm at it routine I bought a a jeep rolling chassis that I am going to turn into a 383 small block chevy stump puller / rock crusher to have some fun with. I already have a Wrangler yj body to mask this beast HeHeHe

Oh you wont last long there if there is a H.O.A!!!

Mr. Vegas..
It has come to the HOA attention that your property has an insuffecient amount of vechicles in non working order.
Also, your neatly painted and lit house is against code 7775.69.x2
Please correct these issues, or we will purchase vehicles and place them on your property as we see fit and bill you for the upkeep.

Regards..

Hey Paul,

How did you get pics of the front of my house  Just Kidding LOL

Looking at those photo's I see now your in REDNECK COUNTRY..... ;) WOW and my neighbors complain LOL. Look at it this way target practice will probably be real easy looks like your on the outskirts of the desert, not a plade of grass at you new place

Hey Sprint,
Sometimes the best reaction is inaction...... This creep is always coming to me for help with heating problems for him and his entire family. In addition I snow-blow his property for him, I have always done all of this for FREE!!!! WELL the seasons are going to change and I am not going to do chit for them. In fact I am going to give the snow plow guy from the town an extra $50 to make sure the plow the guy in :D . He is going to rue the day he decided to turn on me. Vengeance will ultimately be mine !!!! Hehehe :D:cool:

Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

HIJACK!

I went on a scouting trip today with a buddy over at that same local WMA where I went back in August and early September. Man, what a change! We have had ZERO rain here for this month and it really showed back in the woods.

We saw very little, but very old sign. Tracks were all crusted over and dried out... as was the pond near where I'd planned on setting up my tree stand! We did find a pile of fresh scat right in the middle of the road with no tracks around it... looked like unchewed and undigested acorns to me. Yeah, I have pix but will spare ya'll that bit.

Archery season ended 4 days ago and blackpowder season starts tomorrow. BP season is a quota hunt, so there weren't many folks around. I'm not planning on hunting myself, as I don't own a BP gun and the season is only 3 days long. Not worth the trouble.

HOT! And I mean JULY hot today! It started out at 81 when we arrived at 0930, then got up to 92 degrees while we were out. Humidity was up too. The temps at the beginning of the month were running 10 - 12 degrees BELOW normal, then for the last 10 days or so it's been running that same amount ABOVE normal.

We figure that the beasties have moved waaaaaaay back into the woods in order to beat the heat. Fortunately, the weather is supposed to start breaking tomorrow. General gun season starts on 13 Nov in the WMA. Hopefully things will cool down before then.

WHEW!

Hey Vert,

Cool, did you pull the body off or get it that way? not bad for $100

Guess what I did today, went to East Moriches and the guy didn't have the body off so Charlie and I wound up doing it just to get it home today. Not too bad it took us a total of 2 hrs start to finish. The kid selling it was pretty much lost, basically watched while we stripped it down. He had been trying to take the tub off the frame with the steering column, shifters, brake lines etc still hooked up... EEK

But anyhow here she is

IMG00005.jpg

IMG00009.jpg

And here is my old girl that is donating her body ;-)
IMG00011.jpg

IMG00010.jpg

I wound up flat towing the frame home LOL. It was $75 to rent a trailer and $108 for a tow bar to own, The tow bar won hands down. We did get lots of strange looks pulling just a roller, stayed off the highway just took backstreets to avoid SCPD :D

The new pistons, rods etc came in for the 383 which is going to be the new power plant for her :D Nothing like 400hp in a YJ wrangler to break parts......um um I mean have some 4 wheeling fun with lol.

There is already a 1" body lift for it but I don't know if I am using it. I'm going to get a Rough Country 2" lift kit and that might be enough.

It cost $700, but the tires are 30 x 9.5 x 15 90% tread, plan on repainting the rims and selling on CL for $400. Aside from that I am going to scrap the engine =$100, Cat=$25 . Sell the 4 cyl engine+ tranny on mine $800, the rear + front $400 then scrap the old rusted out frame for whatever. Total $1725+ less the 700 for the frame the grand should cover the chevy adapters bell housing conversion and clutch .

All in all the hot rod Jeep conversion with new chassis, Just about FREE Hehehe

Back to the gun..........

I posted in this thread the problems I was having with my 7400. New scope didn't solve the issue. It appears the need to constantly have to resight it is the result of the forestock screw. Different screw pressure changes the POI. After missing the "big one" last weekend, as I posted in another thread, I decided enough is enough. Soooo, I traded it in for this new Browning. Should have it in a couple days. Will be ready for WI opener...

Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

Gun came in 2 days ago. Sighted it yesterday with 3 shots. Adjusted the scope once. The last 2 shots grouped at a 1/2" on center of each @100yds. Needless to say, I'm very pleased. Had enough time to sit in the stand last nite. Saw 3 does and a fawn right before dark. Now it's blowin' and snowin'. First snow of the season.
