HIJACK!!

How about a little supper?

Hot Italian sausage, shrimp, broccoli over rice with a little home made spicy red sauce. And yeah, that's steam rising off that plate.

Awesome!

Yum!:D

Vegas - That's a cool looking cart project you have going. When that baby is done, you should be able to go anywhere with those bigger tires. Looks like a blast. I'd love to have something like that!

As a matter of fact, I did work as a chef when I was younger. Even worked at a 5-star restaurant in Palm Beach for awhile.

I'm thinkin' I need to get some pork into the crockpot for tomorrow... I'll be gone much of the day anyway. Always nice to come home to good cooking, especially with the weather we're getting!

Very cool! Showed the wife. She liked them, although, I didn't mention I wouldn't mind having one. That probably would totally change her opinion.....

HIJACK

It's late fall and the Indians on a remote reservation in South Dakota asked their new chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.

Since he was a chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like.

Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared.

But, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea.

He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, 'Is the coming winter going to be cold?'

'It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,' the meteorologist at the weather service responded.

So the chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared.

A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. 'Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?'

'Yes,' the man at National Weather Service again replied, 'it's going to be a very cold winter.'

The chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find.

Two weeks later, the chief called the National Weather Service again. 'Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?'

'Absolutely,' the man replied. 'It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters we've ever seen.'

'How can you be so sure?' the chief asked.

The weatherman replied, 'The Indians are collecting a ****load of firewood.

Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

HIJACK!!

I feel like I've been stabbed in the throat... oh wait, I have been!

Went to the doc yesterday morning to have more injections into my vocal cords to improve my voice. This was the 2nd time I?ve had this procedure done. The first set of injections that I had done this summer did help somewhat, although the improvement didn?t last very long.

This time it was less difficult and painful than the first time. The team did a good job. It?s still an unpleasant procedure, since I remain fully awake and providing feedback after each injection while the needle is still in my throat and the camera is up my nose.

The swelling should be reduced in the next 7 ? 10 days and hopefully I?ll regain some of my old voice.

The variation on how long the procedure gives benefit varies from individual to individual. It can range anywhere from a few weeks to 2 years. Due to heavy vocal cord scarring, I?m on the fringe edge (natch) of patients who have this done, so the gain may not be as much as hoped, nor may it last very long. We?re hoping that it will make it to 6 months of improvement. If that?s the case, I?ll repeat as necessary. If it only helps me for a month or two, I likely won?t do it again. Not worth it.

Time will tell!
