Re: The hole in the wall mystery

Maybe the rock existed in an alternate universe at the same location, and just for a moment, radiation from a solar flare caused the two universes to overlap each other causing the rock to be bumped into this world, and into JB's wall.
The mystery is solved.:)

I'm liking the meteorite theory. Does the hole(s) have singed edges? I think meteorites are hot when the come down to our big blue marble. If it's magnetic, and there is evidence of heat on the wall, you may have made yourself enough for your next boat. Some of those are worth tons of moolah.

We'll wait for the ad on Texas Craglist:

Million dollars meteorite. Can trade for a 250 Outrage or something equivalent. Call JB at 123-456-7890.

JB,
You have some weird stuff happen to you at the hideout. Maybe the radiation from the meteor is what causes your problems with electronics?!?!

Mystery solved: it was the nose of a deer running at 88mph that made the hole. The antlers can be seen on the inside wall (first time I saw one with a red cap BTW)!

What's that white scratch on the rock?
Looks like a blade mark.
CSI would scrape the rock for metal particles, do a mass spectrograph of the metal and match it to your own lawn mower all within one hour in prime time......

That rock would have to be seriously haulin butt for it to got through and knock the guns off....

I thought that the white mark looked like a blade imprint also.

Hard to believe it went thru the wall just from a lawnmower.

Very glad that no people, cats, or guns were injured in the making of this mystery;)

I know what happened....... That guy from the Andy Griffith show came down the mountain and threw the rock at your house. I am pretty sure if you call Barney and Gomer they can confirm that this happens quite offen in the town of Mayberry:D

Its a peice from a bolide, many meteorites explode into smaller fragments like that. It has no burn marks.
They cannot fall vertically, not possible.

The local geology dept at any university can tell you if its a martian chunk, if so its very valuable.

Because it could be a fragment, the only way to really know is to take it to a local university. IMHO.

Re: The hole in the wall mystery

Was reading the other thread about if something falls from the sky, and it made me think of this one.

JB, any word on that rock? Is it just a rock, or are you having someone look at it to determine if it came from outer space or something?
