I just had a really scary thought. I can tell alot of you folks know each personally, whether friends before becoming an iboat member or since, and you know each other's real names. All I have so far is your screen names and, to a very small degree some first names from PMs. If you knew how bad I am at remembering names (with numbers, I'm an elephant), you'd realize how scary this event is for me

You will get through it just fine. Yes there are some of us that know each other personally, met through iboats gatherings for the most part. Posted here just like this thread, went to the meeting place wondering what we were getting into, have not been disappointed yet.

Yup, Richard, I met these cats on a thread just like this one. Never met any of them before. And yes, we have become good friends. When we went to our first gathering, I wasn't sure what to expect. I can say this....This is one great group of folks to hang out with. I am proud to be a member of iboats and and have made some wonderful relationships with several of them. Even though I don't really fit into the outboard or gas guys, this is the only forum I belong to.....almost.

The first iboat member we met was aspeck and family. What a great guy! Spending the day fishing with him made me realize the potential to meet some really fine people here.

Having read your lighthearted and outgoing posts....You will have a great time! I feel as if I know you already.

What about webcams? I often set one or more up at catering functions so clients can see what happened where they weren't. I'll bring two cams and we'll figure out some way to get some vids.

We are still hanging around Santa Barbara Lake in Pompano Beach. We are having a wonderful time visiting with my cousin and everytime we think we will head down river the bad weather rolls in. Our new big anchor is holding well and we are just enjoying life gathering the coconuts that float by and setting out crab traps when we are in the mood. We are currently setting up solar panels to have 24-7 refrigeration. We are still planning to get to the St. John in June if at all possible. We may have to have another gathering in the keys! Awwww! I guess that would be just too hard for some of you to take. Right? Well, gotta go. Stay green on the water! later, First Mate Carole and Skipper Skip.

That's where I grew up!

We used to hydroslide in lake Santa Barbara as kids, I lived up the canal from there.
