How ironic is this??!! They don't even believe in Christ and they're getting their own Christmas stamp, but don't dream of posting the ten commandments on federal property?

USPS New Stamp

This one is impossible to believe. Scroll down for the text.

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of PanAm Flight 103!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the military barracks in Saudi Arabia!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in Africa!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on 9/11/2001!

REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks!

Now the United States Postal Service REMEMBERS and HONORS the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a commemorative first class holiday postage stamp.

REMEMBER to adamantly and vocally BOYCOTT this stamp when purchasing your stamps at the post office.

To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors.

I thought they re-issued that stamp 4 years ago.

Not many people will buy it anyways. They arent forcing you to.....So who cares?

Not all Muslims are bad, the Radical ones are. You make it seem like every one of them is part of a terrorist group

It's probably a good political and PR move, but I think it is disrespectful of the victims.

Pony, ever heard of "A lie by omission"? That's why when you are sworn in court they say"the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth"... it's so you can't gloss over an inconvenient fact.

The same holds true for the Muslim, to date I have never seen a counter protest, or any other protest by Muslims of the atrocities perpetrated by the "radical few"... in my book that is condoning or support, by omission or fact, those terrorist acts...

Now you might argue that the "moderate" Muslim might be intimidated by the "radical". You only have to look a few years back in US history to see that isn't an excuse.

In the 50's and 60's the Blacks in this country went up against an armed "Mob", police, Army, and Bigots, and gained their RIGHTS under our Constitution. They faced death, injury, and prison to protest a wrong.... and won.

In the 60's and 70's, the anti-war protesters went up against an armed "Mob", Police, National Guard, and the counter protesters, and finally ended the Vietnam War. They faced death, injury, and prison to protest what they perceived as a wrong, and won.

I don't buy it... until I see the "moderate" Muslim stand up and say "no more", they are all as guilty as OBL.

Nuke'em till they glow, shoot'em in the dark, nuke'em again to bury them.... and let them take their case up with Allah

That logic. . .all Muslims must be guilty because they don't protest the evil acts of a few (very few). . . is downright scary.

I suppose that would make all Germans guilty of the Holocaust, all Christians guilty of the genocide of Native Americans, all Southerners guilty of the lynchings, etc carried out by the KKK and so on, ad infinitum.

Very flawed logic. Just plain wrong, in my opinion.

I agree with JB with these additions-

If you do not like it ask for the good old American Flag stamps.

Protesting at your local post office is not going to do any good and you are just yelling at a worker who does not deserve the complaint or grief.

Not as you state it, JB. Not guilty of the crime but guilty of supporting it if you do not vocally condemn it. If one doesn't speak out it is a fair assumption ( yes, I know) that one supports it. The Muslim community has been conspicuously silent on everything except protesting the Pope or cartoons. Nothing about suicide bombers even killing fellow muslims.
I just don't get it! They are cultivating the mistrust people have in the Religion of Peace.

Do not naively think those stamps are not counted, tracked and carefully followed throughout mail distribution globally.
There are reasons for many things we do not need to know.
Will it serve it's purpose? I think so. After all, nobody who responded so far even considered it!

Things that make ya go "hmmmm"

Firestar, this is a 4-year old email. Check snopes. You need to get a more current source of info.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/eidstamp.asp

USPS plans to reissue the EID stamp again in a 39-cent denomination on 6 October 2006.

I think in light of the current situation it is in poor taste for them to reissue it.

Where are the leaders of Muslims condemning the activities or at least denouncing the beliefs of the radicals?

That is absolutly ridiculous. Vocally boycotting it at the Post Office won't do anything at all, and is just plain disrespectful to the Postal Worker.

It is not a slap in the face to Americans that have died either. Whether you like it or not Islam didnt kill anyone. Islam didnt do the bombings etc. People did, people who are Islamic BUT follow an extreme sect of it. The stamp celebrates a special event in the religion.

When are you guys going to seperate the Islmamic religion from the Extreme Muslims themselves?? The religion isnt at fault, their understanding and interpretation of it is. Get over it.

So what exactly is going to happen if the Muslim community spoke out against the extremists huh? You know that you wouldn't listen anyways. You will still sit here and say "Them speaking out is just a slap in the face, we know they did it" and so on. What would Muslims speaking out accomplish? The extremists arent going to listen. They practice the religion so differently it may as well not be called the same thing.

Otherwise I agree with JB

Again........so what happens if they do speak up? If the Germans spoke up to the Nazi's you think Hitler would just be like " Oh yeah you guys are right. We shouldn't be persecuting the Jewish people" I highly doubt it. They would just be "silenced". Same thing with the other examples JB mentioned.

Come on Firestar, the Neutron bomb was never put into production as it was too destabilizing during the "cold war"... so of course it isn't in inventory.

But what would be the point?... it was only to kill people without destroying infrastructure,,, and again, what would be the point?... like they have a high tech. society?... anything we would want to build on?... we would just have to bulldoze it under anyway... so...

Big blue... it's an air/fuel bomb that is equal to a 5 kilo ton nuke without all of that pesky environmental and PC crap... should keep the liberals happy.

Your logic doesn't fly. I don't hear much coming from Muslim leaders in countries where they can speak up without their heads being chopped off. They don't condemn so they at the least condone.
