Sorry we were cut off during our phone conversations but I am sure there were more pressing issues for you to deal with. I think I have all the parts need at this time. If you have come up with any new revelations let me know. However, as 2cycle says.....

Amigos, got the new impeller and other allied items for the "pump"? and will be putting it altogether tomorrow. Also, have a line a several used "cylinder covers" (part that houses the spark plugs). 2 cycle, what rock did you crawl under?

I was lost, then I read this entire thread. Now I'm lost and confused,- great just where I am most comfortable thanks. All of you are hilarious, I needed a dose of reality with my situation. I am thankful.

As far as any intercourse is concerned, perhaps we need to stay here. I don't quote scripture but I do read the bible and the gospel is everywhere if we will just see it. The book of Romans has some excellent text that speaks of the Christian ethic. This may or maybe a quote but it goes something like, Don't hide your light under a bushel. There is a fine line between that and People who play with fire get burned. Whoa, on subject we have repaired the pump and will assemble and test run this afternoon. As the "hired hands" are at their day jobs on the weekend I won't be going to the lake again this sunday. But I am now shooting for a Fiscal New Year Celebration on July one, my birthday. People just won't believe I will be 92. ;) ;) ;)

Ok, 2 and anybody else who cares: The engine is running in forward and reverse and the impeller seems to be keeping the engine within operating temperature tolerances. We still have the steering to install but got a good start on that before the sun went down, or came up where dunaruna is concerned.
People just won't believe I am going to be 92.
Well evidently someone did as when I had an outpaitient proceedure the hospital had my birthdate as 1913.
Formal Training 1964-1967 US Army. 1967-1969 Fresno City College (no degree) 1968-present Matrimonial Institute (toughest course attempted)
1970-1972 CSULB BA Radio/TV Production
Lifetime diploma from the school of hard knocks.
Parting comment: Compare and ContrastEgo

TV Quote of the Day: "I love it when a plan comes together." "Hannibal/The "A" Team" :D ;)

Glad to hear the progress. Thanks for the background info. My dad was in the Army a little after your hitch ('67-'69) and served with the 6th/177th Artillery from Ft. Sill, OK and also attached to the 25th Inf. in VietNam after Tet during the counteroffensive. Thank you for your service to the country - especially during those turbulent times.

Let us know how the motor does on its "maiden" voyage. And if ultimately it's a problem that you can't handle...maybe you should call...The A team.. :p :D

Alrighty then. I need to buy oil to refill the lower unit and don't know how much to buy. Book specifies type but not quantity. The good stuff comes in about 9 oz bottles. How many bottles should I buy?

Buy two bottles and call me in the morning.

But seriously, we got a dropped cell call, and I've been up to my ears in work.

Dockbuster lowers are EASY to mate up as compared to FGS models. Just have someone turn the flywheel a bit to get the splines to line up.

Also - this thread has GROWN so large that because I'm on a dial-up it takes 100 years to load. So if I have limited board time, I hit the new threads 1st.

-W

Evidently not. Oh well, as many of you may now know the shakedown cruise was a complete success and we are now looking forward to a full day of "fun at the lake". Still want to add the windshield (screen) and get the speedometer fixed.
Money not withstanding... :D

Well, now the choice is between a new pickup or GPS. Aside from the cost difference are there anymore pros and cons? :patriotic:
:add graemlins:

Time flies by when you are getting bashed. Ok, here is the skinny, no offense Mr Waters, we are trying to set the trim for the boat. We have a tack that goes up to 7,000 rpm. I have been pouring trough the manual but don't find the max RPM. Will some one tell me what the max RPM is for this 700E Direct Reversing engine? ABRACADABRA Please, And Thank You.
We have run as high as 7000 over a short period, but the accurracy of the tac is not known.
Thank you again for your help and patience. :D

Aye aye JB. My apologies to you and the board. I was doing this as a courtesy to interested members who, as I, have slow dialup connections. I thought the subject matter was sufficient to be within the rules. Of course you are the best judge of what is acceptable and what is not. Please accept my apology, even if others will not.
