Hello everyone, have another question for you. To change the thermostats do you have to take the bubble off? Are is there another, easier way to get to them, other than having to pull the power head? DJ if you are reading this, what do you think. Are anyone. Thanks again.

If your's are under the bubble, dropping the lower cowling pan will get you to where it's only a pain in the @ZZ but doable

i own 2 bubblebacks and i drilled 3 holes in the lowerpan to make instalation and removal easyer.
after instalation buy some plummers putty sandpaper and spraypaint and you'l be done.
its a pain but really important.
you dont have to pull the ph.
i would just throw the old tstats out, i resently found out the hard way.
i replaced the old ones after cleaning and testing in warm water with a thermometer but they for some reason didn't open.

thats my advise.

This is one of those situations where you really want to get a hold of the engineer and Ring his Neck!.

The easiest way is to pull the power head.
But if you don’t want to do that, use a ¼” drive ratchet, with a 10” extension, and 10 mm swivel socket. (atleast I think it's 10 mm)
Note that the swivel socket MUST be the kind that is a one piece swivel, not a swivel adapter. The reason for this is that you have no room to work down there as it is, and the extra length of a swivel adapter just doesn’t cut it.

You will also need an extra pair of hands, preferably small, to hold the assembly in place while the other person tries to start the center screw.

I also recommend a light coating of Bellows adhesive to hold the gaskets and corks into place.

This job is definitely not for the No Patience kind of person.

PS. It is O.K. to swear after your third attempt at re assembly, as listed on page 138 of the manual.
Or at least it should have been!…
