Whatever floats your boat.
In this case it was booze.
The boat owner of 'Fuelish Pleasure,' 55-foot Marquis yacht, caused the cancellation of the
Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival fireworks show Friday night at Fort Walton Beach ? all because the yacht was anchored inside the safety zone of the fireworks display, reports
The Destin Log.
Throughout the day boaters were informed through broadcasts that their vessels had to be removed from the safety zone by early evening.
The "Fuelish Pleasure" owner ignored the requests, even shrugging his shoulders at the captain of the firworks barge that also asked him to move his boat.
According to the command center chief of the USCG Sector Mobile, the boat owner and all but one of his passengers were drunk and unable to move the boat, according to the command center chief of the USCG Sector Mobile.
Authorities had to postpone the fireworks display one day and then ultimately cancel it due to the weather.
