Okay, here's the deal.
I went boating and the last couple times when I went WOT, the boat would not get on plane. I have a 16' fibreglass boat.
So, as I was trying to figure out why, while my buddy was driving the boat at WOT, I took the cowling off and inspected the motor to see if I could figure it out.
I noticed that the throttle was not all the way open. When I went and pushed the throttle to see if it would go faster, it did. It went faster and we went on plane, but eventually the motor slowed down. Seems as if something is not correctly adjusted.
I've looked in my manual and cannot figure out how to adjust the throttle so it is working properly.
My question is: how do I adjust the throttle so when I try to go full throttle, it actually does. The piece of metal that pushes the throttle linkage does not push the throttle all the way down.
I'm sure this is a quick fix, but I can't seem to figure it out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks B.C.
