when i put my livewell back in my boat whats the best thing to put in it for a drain?

i've got a thru-transom connector in it. I was planning on silioning around it but if theres a way to get a brass thing back in it it'd be great

Re: Thru-Hull

Go to your local boat supply store, they should sell replacement drain tubes in a variety of lengths. Buy an adequate length (you'll probably have to trim it) and install using 3M 5200. Let cure and your good. :D

Be advised that 3m5200 is PERMANENT! Oh it will not leak and whatever part it is will require DESTRUCTION to be removed ;)

3m4200 is the kinder younger brother of 5200 and does permit removal.

Do not use silicone alone because that works best in a fish tank and will normally NEVER last in a boat and will FAIL and leak.
