when i put my livewell back in my boat whats the best thing to put in it for a drain?

i've got a thru-transom connector in it. I was planning on silioning around it but if theres a way to get a brass thing back in it it'd be great

Go to your local boat supply store, they should sell replacement drain tubes in a variety of lengths. Buy an adequate length (you'll probably have to trim it) and install using 3M 5200. Let cure and your good.

Be advised that 3m5200 is PERMANENT! Oh it will not leak and whatever part it is will require DESTRUCTION to be removed

3m4200 is the kinder younger brother of 5200 and does permit removal.

Do not use silicone alone because that works best in a fish tank and will normally NEVER last in a boat and will FAIL and leak.

haha sorry guys i didnt know i had any replies!

yeah i will be taking the livewell unit back out sooner or later so i better not use that 4200...

i dont really have a boating supply store, but i do have a place that sells boats so maybe they'd have it..

and then theres walmart.. and BPS 2hrs away.. and dicks 30 mins away

walmart usually has a few tubes lying around. ive been in a couple lately and most of the boat stuff is on clearance
