Just a word to the wise. I think it's a good idea (now) to tie those ladders off when you're working on anything.
I took a tumble off a step ladder getting up on the swim platform of our boat (on trailer) on Monday. Next thing I remember is sitting in the E/R. It took me awhile to start to piece things back together but I was on the 4th. or 5th. rung of the ladder about to step onto the swim platform when it slipped out from under me. Swim platform is about 5-1/2' above the ground. Apparently (cause I'm still missing some time) I got up, went in the house, surfed the net and watched some TV when the wifey asked me if I was ok? I asked when did we move the boat? Thats when she said "take a shower we're going to the E/R!" Last thing I remember was dangling in mid air. Don't remember actually hitting the ground.
You never know when you ticket is gonna get punched!
Next time I'll wear a PFD (Personal Flying Device)!
