Hope this is the correct forum for this..
I am searching for an outboard for my retirement project boat. It's been many years since I've even yanked on a starter cord. My boat is set up for remote steering. I remember as a kid seeing tiller motors hooked up to cables for remote steering.
My question: in the 20-35 hp range, can't you still hook up a tiller motor to remote steering cables with some minor modification ? Does the throttle configuration on a tiller prevent this ?
I'm seeing better prices for tiller models than remote models for comparable engines.

Thanks...
