HI again! Got my motor hoisted.I want to take off the tilt assembly so i can deal with the corrosion. It seems that if i remove the two pivot rods ,and the steering tube, the unit is free. The question is how do i deal with the electric umbilical that connects it? It appears as if its connected to a plug on motor side and the jack on the other! How do i do this? oh yeah.. can i hook up a battery with the controls removed to the control throtte box, and still tilt the unit so i can get to the upper pivot pin(and spring clip of course)????? THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS!!! I need all the good advise I can get:eek:

if i am not mistaken the T n T unit is bolted in from the sides, as a unit. you just have to disconnent the pivot point at the end of the piston. yes you can jump the control box.
