tilt/trim motor 89' 140

How int he world do you get to the back screws for the tilt and trim motor? Does the whole assembly come off?

If the stern brackets are slotted so the unit will slide out then it'll come out with the motor on the boat. If not, then you'll have to suspend the motor (or lay it down) and take off one stern bracket to get the unit out.

The whole assembly feels loose after taking the bolts out of the bracket, but it wont come out. I did not however remove the pin on the ram up to the motor??

Remove the tlt pin and take the whole tilt/trim out it will make easier to replace the motor and less messy.
