Ok guys, see if you can help me.

I was running around in the flats all day Sunday, using tilt/trim everywhere to get me on a plane and to run shallow. It worked great, no problems at all.

We get out of the water on Sunday, take the boat to the carwash first thing (like always), and rinse the crap out of everything to remove the salt and to clean it a bit.

I go to tilt the engine up (I tow in the down position), and it barely moves, about 10times slower then usual. It sounds like it is working just fine, but the engine barely lifts at all.

So, first thing I do is turn on all of the boat lights, the depthfinder, the bilge pump, and the livewell pump to see if I have enough power in the battery. I then crank the engine and it cranks just fine (i had it on muffs at the carwash to rinse the salt out of it). So, I let the engine run, and the battery clearly had power. I still can't get the engine to raise. I go to lower it, and it BARELY moves...but sounds like it is moving fine.

So, I take a peak at the t/t cylinders, they are as clean as can be. No obvious corrosion, nothing bad looking at all.

I glance over the wiring, try the switch on the engine itself, in lieu of the binnacle switch, same thing.

Any ideas what to do here? It sounds like it is working, has plenty of juice going to it, but nothing. It moved about 1", 2 times, but nothing at all now.

let me know if you have any ideas!

Thanks
Shawn
