Hey Bob, congrats on the new job, I hope it works out well for you. Although moving sucks, at least it's a fresh start. Keep your stick on the ice buddy.

Re: Timid but determined Glasstream restoration

Hello All,
Thanks for the good wishes. I'm really looking forward to the new job.
One great thing about it is I don't have to move. Well with the exception of moving my stuff from TN back to KY. I will only be in SC for less then a year and then I should be moved back to KY plant and able to be home almost every night. I'll be ever to get more projects done. :D:p
As for the Boat I didn't get any time on it today but I'm hoping for some tomorrow.
Take care all.

Re: Timid but determined Glasstream restoration

Hello Folks,
Well, I managed to get a few hours on the boat today. Turned off cool here today too. I just got one side about half done. I got it sanded down to the blue section. I thought I would post a few more pic's. This is a very slow process. Anyways here ya go.

Next is from the Bow.

The next two are the same just after hosing down.

At the rate it's going I'll need another 12 to 16 hours to finish the entire boat and then another 5-6 hours filling and sanding pin holes to get it ready to shoot new Gel-coat.
I just need to get sometime on it that isn't interrupted.
I hope everyone had a good weekend.
Take care.

Bob,

Seeing how much FUN you are having doing all that sanding is making me anxious to get my Flamingo Flipped so I can get started.:p You are making good progress even though your schedule is hectic, you will be shooting GC before you know it. Keep it going, buddy.

I'm just sayin...:D

Thanks sprintst,
yes, being closer to home will be great. I can't wait. I hope to have this boat completed by next summer to enjoy it. We shall see. :D
When I'm finished I will have a bright white slate to put the new graphics on.
I just need to get a solid couple days on her and I'll be ready to shoot.
Thanks again

Re: Timid but determined Glasstream restoration

Hello all,
I'm sorry I haven't posted is a long time. Just wanted to give you an update. No work on the boat for a couple weeks. I started the new job and it's keeping me really busy. I was going to go home next weekend but that's not going to happen. So I'm now here another week without any work on the boat. I will be home in two weeks and I can only hope that my wife lets me get some time on it.
Take care all.

High Bob

It might be adventages to do something special for the Wife A.S.A.P. when you get back so you can do something for the bout. After all, it sounds like she has not had your attention in 4 weeks either by the time you get back.

None of my business, just though I would point it out in case you overlooked it. I sometimes over look facts like that and Wifes make more niose then boats in restoration stage.

Clay

P.S. Hope you'r injoying new job.

Hell Bob...
You can ignore a tin hull for 40 years and she'll still be there..

Ignore your woman, well you know.....;)

Take care of the love that loves you back..Plus, you don't really miss sanding do you?

Re: Timid but determined Glasstream restoration

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the great advice.
I don't think my wife will let me ignore her very long.
The boat may be on hold for a little while. :(
I know I'll get back to it soon. I hope.
Take care all
Bob
