Hey everybody. We've added a whole bunch of new aluminum Starcraft owners in recent months. I wanted to throw this thread up to remind any of you that haven't seen it yet of our upcoming get-together in Lake Anna, VA the weekend of June 26th. It's going to be quite a site to see all these tin SC's in one place!

Some of members in the list of people planning on attending haven't been on the site for a while so hopefully this will draw them out. I'm also planning on sending invites via PMs to some of the newer members who are at least in the same general area of the country at the gathering. So WHO'S COMING!!

Well my entire clan is going to be there. At this point I'm fairly confident the boat will be ready...my biggest concern is the tow vehicle.

My Explorer will need some work before I drag the SS thru the mountains. Need my bearings looked at minimum.

I hope some of the new Starcrafters near Virginia will be able to attend. Remember, the boats don't have to be perfect...NB will be there so we can check out the Liquid Limo if we want to see perfection

Starcrafter65 is busting my arse to make it. "Billie Holiday" cannot possibly be in more pieces - but the interior components are just about done. If I don't encounter major mechanical issues - I'll be there.

Oh Great Now instead of just boating all summer I'm gonna have to be touching up paint, polishing all that danged wood, chroming all the rubber hoses......

E, I've kinda figured out there's always gonna be what I call Owner's Punchlist on a restored boat. Guess I'll just have to live with it :redface:

Seriously, I can't wait to see all the examples of personallity built into these restored boats.

Not me, wish I could but can't, prior obligations, and not to mention the boat is not done(been put on the back burner for a little while, just too busy). I will be in Colonial Williamsburg next week however, that is as close as I get. Wife and daughter wanted a spring break. Happy wife, Happy life. 970 mile drive one way.

Maybe next time.

Has anybody got word to Starcraft that this is happening?

One of the guys called them a while back and they donated a bunch of free hats There is a write-up in the original Tinstock thread regarding their response.

I think they are pumped about all the free advertising...but we prove that you don't need to buy a brand-new rig. That doesn't help their sales much

I've talked to the folks in PA who man the 800 number for starcraft. It doesn't ring at Starcraft/Smokercraft anymore. It rings at a large dealership I forget where. Tinstock slipped out in a conversation while I was searching for some parts for the Mariner and they got real excited. Asked for links and numbers for the motel so I sent them a package.

Since then I've received a couple of calls from folks with old SC's asking me if I'm the head of the Old Starcraft Regatta ????? Did you folks hold some kindof an election I didn't know about or something

As far as them showing, we'll see..........

I was guessing that they would be thinking one of two things...

We are a bunch of fruit cakes and all need to get a life.

OR

They love us and would sponsor the whole gig with a big tent, grill steaks, haul in a bunch of new and classic boats, sno cones for the kids, boat demos with water trials and test drives, slide shows, you know the works!

Free hats are cool too though!

Yah, I called "Starcraft" the other day and it rang at my dealership just a couple of miles up the road. Bummer.

NB, I think the lot of us assume you to be the Grand Pooba of something around here. Shoot, I've never seen you play the guitar but I think you are a rock star!

I'm going to be there, heck it's about a 60 mile trip for me I'm trying like heck to have the boat ready but honestly I'm pumped about meeting the guys and looking at heir boats. Friendship is the resto on my mind and you can never polish that enough. Besides, I may never get this close to actually meeting Mr. Monkey (lol Kev). Dale

We will be there, me, wife and Jet. I've got the hats.

My take is that Starcraft cannot make any money on us so all we got is 16 hats and best wishes for our regatta.

I wish I could be there but that is one long drive. There will be a lot of real nice S/C to see, so take lots of photos and post em up for us, up here in Canada EH.

I have my room booked..As of right now I am a GO.
Boat/trailer can be ready if I take a few days and put in 12-15 hours.
It's going to be a long drive if my boat wants to stop and visit cow pastures the whole dang trip up there

I am planning on visiting for at least one day, if I can get the old girl ready by then. If not I may just drag the Tracker jet down to at least meet all of my mentors!,LOL!

I have a question:

For all of those that aren't staying in the initial lake side cabins, where are you staying? Are you camping? Saying at another place nearby? I am not sure I we'll be able to make it, but if I am able to, I just wanted to know more about other places to stay that aren't already booked up...
