Murky,please google "Fallacious statement"

Bunch of internet opinions, n' general carp. Got enough of that without lookin' fer more. I don't believe my statements are "fallacious" based on the standard English definition: Thank You very Much: Mrs. Jones. :D:D JR

WOW only 2 posts to blame President Bush! Who is that is spending all the money that the individual states get? No him. How much money was given to that "bowl" over the years to make sure the levies were up to date?

Is it up to the feds to inspect all bridges or is it up to the state? I love when I hear of "states rights" been when something goes wrong, it's the feds fault.

The Iraqi people are doing more to help rebuild their nation than the people in New Orleans. I'm glad we're at least helping a people who appreciate it to some degree and don't "expect" it.

Don't forget, those idiots re-elected Ray Nagin and Kathleen Blanco. They obviously want the crap they got, so now they can wallow in it as far as I'm concerned.

If you can't help your fellow man the only one you have to answer to is your god { who ever that may be }. But I think they should take all the trash and garbage from New York City and New Jersey that they dump in the ocean right now and haul it down to New Orleans to build the land up above sea level before they let any one build anything back. That would fix 2 problems at the same time and make more jobs to manage the garbage. Ever seen the trash barges headed out to sea from New York and New Jersey? Pretty bad....ANIMAL :D

Saw them back when I was driveing truck {'85-'89} and was told at that time they were dumping it in the ocean but they could have been wrong. Just know its bad,,,and would make good land fill in New Orleans to get it above sea level. Everybody should know not to build on land thats below sea level on the coast. Sooner or later its going to get wet....ANIMAL

Those that think this is solely New Orleans' problem are incredibly short sighted.

New Orleans was built where it was to open up a port to the products of the entire cental section of this country. That was pre-oil shipments, of course, and now with oil and natural gas, it is even more important.

To suggest this is a New Orleans problem (or even a Louisiana problem) is denying any notion of economic reality.

Let's abandon New Orleans and the associated ports and shipping along the Mississippi River, and see what happens to the American economy.

Say what? As near as I can tell the ports and shipping are doing just fine. Why do I need give more welfare to improve them?

Some of you may not like this, but there is only ONE God, the One who created the universe, and you too. His son, Christ, gave to people in need, but did not give to the point of making them rich(accept for your salvation). He gave and healed so they could serve other people, like He did. Another thing, God said "I will bless who I bless", which means He chooses, no one can demand from Him and by living by this example we are not obligated to give and no one should demand from us. We have a responsibility to help the poor, yes, but not throw money blindly into the problem
.

The typical conservative response. They do care about themselves and their own, and will spend the money in a hurry on that.

They just don't care about anything and anyone else.

It's the American way!

Hmm, I thought a few replies up it was bad because we were spending too much in Iraq. Now we only spend on ourselves. Well, which is it? Make up your mind how you're going to bash Bush. At least get together on this!

A very large percent (not sure exact %) of charity is given by religious organizations(mostly conservative).

Salvation Army, Christian based, is one of the biggest. Conservatives do most of the givin' where liberals do most of the takin'.

Look we are fighting an enemy who has no soul, no remorse, and has done so since the beginning of time. We should just surrender. We can't win. We have already lost. Lets just redeploy!!

I have no idea where you got that from.I always thought that the upper and middle class do a lot of giving, mostly by choice and also because it is tax deductible, while many poor people do the receiving, mostly because they have no choice.

John Stossel @ 2020 did an intense study that I saw on the BOOB TUBE last week.

Cornservatives give much more then snooty self rightious Libs EVER do, (which as a semi informed person: I ALREADY KNEW).

The poor ones, (proud but poor CORNSERVATIVES not dim wit VICTIMS) actually give the most as a percentage of their incomes.

If ya go the 2020 site you can document what I just said.

Liberals do their good werks by forcin' all of us to involuntarily contribute to NANNY GUBMINT.

Respectfully JR
