....
We are both next door to a more populous, louder, and more self-assured/aggressive neighbour. The parallels continue from there.
Canada has more in common with the Kiwis....
The common thread (and again the Kiwis agree) is that we couldn't have a better neighbour, peculiarities aside....;)

Hmm... Have I just been called loud and aggressive? Me? Never.... :D

After watching all the coverage of the Olympics the wife and I are putting BC as a vacation destination. Maybe next year.

If you keep on going north from Vancouver to Whistler and then north to Pemberton Down the Duffy lake road over to Cash Creek. Keep going east to Kamloops and then south through the Okanagan back to Vancouver.

Its a big loop that can be done in one day but best if you take your time. I will grantee that you will fall in love with BC.

Pretty sure it's Cache Creek :)

If you decide to do this, make sure to pm one of us first. The Okanagan is the best tourist destination. Just be ready for heat (but it's a dry heat). And we have lots of lakes to cool off in.

I have looked South at Canada from my boat, near Kettle Falls in Minnesota.

Don't forget Alaska! If I go to North Beach here on Haida Gwaii and look North on a clear day I'll see Prince of Wales Island in Alaska.

Great clip, thanks tacklewasher:)

Being from northern Michigan I've always been more aware of our friendly neighbors to the north than more southerly Americans...but I will say that our educational system does not consider Canada worthy of enough study as it should.:(

Canada is about the best neighbor we could ask for and they keep a good stock of walleye too...eh;)

BTW thanks for the Labatt's:D
