Re: top 5 uncommon dream muscle cars

Yes I have scattered many of those rear ends grabbing second gear, never in first. The 273 was gone long before I got my 65, but I have found one and am gathering parts to make it like new. I am thinking about putting a dana rear end in it also, something that can take some abuse! (Cause I have a lead foot)
Check again the 1964 413 HEMI rated at 415hp dynoed at 800+ it was also put in the chrysler 300J has twin ram injection (dual 4 barrel carbs with an intake that crossed over to the sides of the engine) pass anything 'cept a gas stationThe early Barracudas never had Hemi's from the factory! Without checking I think the Hemi's came out around 67-68!
I had a 66 Formula (S) and the only HP engine available in those years was a 273, Solid lifter single AFB, dual point distributor! Only problem was that it had the rear end from a Vakient 6 cylinder and you could blow it into pieces so quick you didn't dare do many burn outs! I put 3:90's in the rear of mine and was easy off the line and it would tear up HP 289 Mustangs!!!
