This may be the dumbest question....
I have a 2000 7.4 MPI with a Bravo 3 on it. Does this have a transmission with oil that I have to check? The mercruiser service manual does not seem that clear to me as to whether it would have a transmission.
Recently, I was on a river and my RPM dropped way down and the boat vibrated. It went away, but later when I looked at the prop, I saw the blades polished on the tips and the front blade tips almost look bent. Mechanic said they could be straightened and no big deal, but my big worry is the whirring noise I now have when I put it into gear. I didnt have this noise before. Could it be due to a bent prop? I know noises are hard to deal with on the internet, but any input/experience with similar situation is appreciated.
