I am going to be mounting a new transducer on my transom and was wondering if anyone could post a picture of their location that has yielded the best results.

I have a 16ft aluminum hull, 50HP Merc outboard with stiffeners that run along the length. Your basic small lake boat. I've read up on all the mounting tips and can't decide if I should mount it in between the set of ribs closest to the middle or further out. The hull has three ribs on each side of the motor, so that gives me two choices of placement. Transom width is 72".

My hull angle in the back is pretty flat, about 8 degrees. The boat is an '89 Astro Lake Sport 16V Pro. My transducer is the Eagle Tri-Beam with up to 150 deg cone angle.

Thanks
