ok, so i got the wrench. its a nice unit, but still not quite what i need. there just isnt much space down there. It works, but its a pain.

also it didnt come with the spare plug like the listing says it does. I got 3 so its not like im in need, but it says it comes with it, it should. I have sent an email to iboats, but havent heard back.

Weird - was it in a blister pack? I just bought that same wrench off ebay and it had the spare plug with it.

no. it was just in a box. no packaging on the wrench. It was only $5 deer, so i may have got the one that doesnt come with a plug, and they just have the description wrong.

Is your small locker big enough to put a small tackle box full of tools? Various wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers and that crescent wrench and plug? It would keep everything dry. You should have a tool kit onboard anyway. Don't forget the duct tape...... I use to put the plug on the captain's chair so I wouldn't forget to put it in..... The tub was heavy enough so the plug never moved going down the road...... My current boat has the plastic plug so the plug is always right there, sure is convenient..........

Ayuh,.... Drill a hole in yer plug, tap it, 'n screw in a "T" handle,....

Ya won't need a wrench,....

I've always liked the way you think!! Cool idea!

If you want to keep the same cheap wrench and have the rust "limited" - couldn't you plasti-dip it? Buy a can at Home Depot.
