HI,
I am getting ready to put the new wood in the transom of my 75 Wreidt Spoiler.
I am replacing the transom from the inside.

I have removed all the old wood and roughed up the surface. Now I realize I have a problem:

How do I make a piece of wood that will fit? I have used heavy construction paper and cut it to something approximating the shape of the transom for a template, but it isn't perfect.
what is the best method to make a template?

also on a side note I saw in another post to use a respirator approved for expoxy dust? I have been using a fiberglass/sanding mask(has 2 straps), I have not seen any respirators specifically saying anything about epoxy. can anybody give me a "niosh" specification about what type of respirator to use? I can still smell the epoxy when I grind it(smells good!)

thanks,
Josh
