Anyone know where I can find a cap for the trim pump reservoir? This is what my pump looks like. I think I need a new cap because when I run the drive up and down it is leaking through the pin hole in the cap.

Re: Trim pump

Its supposed to have the pin hole to vent the tank. Check your fluid level.

I understand that but isn't there supposed to be a diaphram under the cap to keep condensation from entering the reservoir? I have read a few threads where people had mentioned it was supposed to be there and it looks as if the PO had lost the original cap and just used a generic cap and poked a hole in it. I also suspect that the reservoir is overfilled as well due to his poor maintenance.

How hard did you look? I found it in 38 seconds.
When you fill the drive resivoir the drive needs to be fully down and only fill it to the mark embossed on the resivoir.

Like I said I searched for a while....... Wasn't aware of mercruiserpats.com and now that I know I will have another option for searching parts. Thanks Hava and Bomar.
