Once more I made the mistake of relying on my Seloc manual. Upon disassembly of the trim/tilt pump I find my particular unit [The trim/tilt pump is the two wire, two ram model] has parts not mentioned in the Seloc manual. According to Seloc my pump unit should have three internal springs and 3 check balls as well as two poppet valves. My unit has only one poppet valve and two springs, one small, one large, four check balls one of which is much smaller in diameter then the other three. There is also several small parts not mentioned or described by Seloc. Two tiny brass washers, a brass insert that is inserted into one end of the longer spring.and a small metal plug or spacer. The problem I am having is trying to determine where the plug or spacer goes. This part resembles a metal plug or spacer. Is disc shaped about 1/8" in thickness with a diameter that matches the brass insert and brass washers, roughly 3/16" in diameter. I am fairly certain this metal spacer is sets atop the poppet valves check ball. So order of parts for poppet valve assembly would be this: poppet valve seat-check ball-spacer-spring-brass insert-two brass washers. Might anyone know if this is correct?
