If you do tear out the trim motor, its really not that bad. Raise you motor all the way up and put the mounts down to hold it there. There are i believe 3 bolts on either side, a 14mm wrench or socket if i do remember correctly. youll have to disconnect a little tube on the bottom with a small wrench, along with all the wiring on the top, and with a little elbow grease, or a mallet, lol, it should come out. Try bringing it to a small motor repair shop or something llike that b4 you go and buy a new one, it may be cheaper. It still seems funny though that it would just give out like that from just getting washed, unless your brother was washing it with a sledgehammer, lol gl
