Trolling motor shaft

Hi There,does anyone out there have an Alumacraft 165cs with a trolling motor on the front,I don't have access to my boat at the moment so can't take the measurments to find the right length,any help would be greatly appreciated

PS the motor I would be getting would be a MinnKota Powerdrive 55

The length has to be what you need for the kind of fishing you do. If you fish in rough water you will need a longer shaft to keep the prop in the water as the boat bounces up and down. On the flip side, if you fish calm, shallow or weedy water, you want it as high as you can get it and still give you the thrust you need. I think you will have to figure that out on your own.

You need a 54 inch shaft. This is how I know.

Thanks for the help ,I have the same boat as you silvertip ,only a Yamaha F75,Love the boat
