I would try a 15x19 four blade if you can borrow or find a cheap one.

(friends boat is the same length and motor combo and that's what works for him)

Shoot......it's a 218 coastal. Sorry about that.

They did make a stern drive model for that year.

That's, uhm. Different. Might even be unique. I'm pretty sure that did not come from the factory that way.

Here's the spec sheet for the 1995 218 Coastal. All the options are 150-250hp outboards.


Maybe having the outdrive about 2 feet behind the boat's transom is causing some of the problem here.

the 1994's had the 4.3 option, I believe the last 2 numbers of the HIN is the year.

It doesn't surprise me one bit that the guy who sold me the boat game me the wrong year model. I'd have a few words for that guy if we ever met again.

I would try the borrow one or get a cheaper aluminum one first, just to try.
