I need help. I have a 1995 3.0 OMC I/O. The head gasket blew this spring on the first trip out after dewinterizing. The boat has been in the shop every since.

1st they resurfaced the head, the shop took it for a test run and told me it wasn't right. Upon further inspection the head has a visible crack.

2nd I purchased a brand new head and all new gaskets. The shop took it for a test run and said the boat was ready to go.

I put the boat on the water and about 15 min. after running the engine shut off. I looked into the engine compartment and a milky oil and water mixture was everywhere. Could not tell where it was coming from. The engine started without any problem and ran fine back to the dock.

I returned the boat to the shop. They told me they wanted to magnaflux the head, if it wasn't cracked then I needed a new block.

I no longer have much faith in this shop and I wanted to get a second opinion. I have taken the boat to a guy who builds race engines. He magnafluxed the head and cylinder walls everything looks good. The cylinder head is flat as well as the block. When we seperated the head from the intake manifold the was standing water in one of the exhaust ports. The manifold will be pressure tested today.

When we checked the oil it looked like it was about 3 qaurts over full (milky white).

Any suggestions, or ideas would be very much appreciated. This is a learning process for me and the guy working on it. He is doing this as a favor. He is a high performance car guy.

Thanks
