I have dropped the lower ends on these 2 motors, The oil when drained looked new, no water or metal.
I replaced the water pump impellers, and put the water pump housing back together. I have noticed that they both turn freely when turning the drive shafts but one turns much easier. They both shift and change gears and directions.
When looking at them from the top the correct rotatin of the shaft is clockwise correct?
One unit had an aluminum gasket between the lower end and the upper mounting surface, the other had no gasket...???
Where can i purchase the gasket and new "O" rings and water tube rubber connectors?
Should I pop open the bottom skag cover or fill with oil and re assemble??
I have carburator and fuel pump kits and will rebuild these next week...
Thanks for any help
Thanks
