Under seat storage

Many years ago my uncle had some under seat storage units on his boat.
Essentially, a round plastic tray that fit around the seat pedestal, to hold those most used fishing items like hook remover, pliers, line cutter, and a few lures.

I remember it was real handy, and out of the way.

Any idea if they still make these, or where to get them?

Really need something that won't attract fish hooks.

Probably gonna have to make something.

Perhaps us the bottom 2 1/2" of a 5 gallon bucket?

Any ideas?

Maybe a cheap plastic vegetable tray. Use a Dremel tool to remove the center of the tray. Slide the seat base into the center hole.

That will never work.
This is a boat.
Everything boat related is expensive.
Perhaps an expensive tupperware tray ?

Your idea has made me do some thinking, my wife has a heavy plastic tray for snacks with dip. In the center is a recessed ring mabey 3-4" in diameter for dip to go in, and the outside ring mabey 12" in diameter and mabey 3" deep. If the center were cut out a seat pedestal would easily slip down thru and into the base with this plastic ring around the base to put fishing goodies in. Now if I can figure out where she got it from??? Would have to find a different color as hers is a god awfull green and would not look good in my brown interior.
