Re: under the weather

Thanks everyone!
Having good days and bad, depends on how much my disc is pressing on the nerve roots. The worst part is the waiting.I just want to get the surgery over with.I'm dieing to go fishing but have not been able to get anyone to go help me launch and retrieve the boat.I don't want to get out on the water alone and have my back act up...:)

I need a good excuse to get out of here and go ... hmmm, how far of a drive would that be ...

Hope you heal quickly - just don't do anything stupid, and don't try to rush the recovery.

Oh, and I hear it is best to get lots of immunizations when you are around those NASCAR types ... :D

Re: under the weather

I know your pain...The VA just found two herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and severe arthritis on my lastest MRI. They are trying to force surgery down my throat, too. I'm not gonna do it until it's the absolute last resort. The worst part is, three years ago they said my back was all better and took away the disability compensation for it.

Keep moving, alternate ice and heat, take the pain meds, and feel better soon!

Thanks RentalGuy,
They have shown me on the MRI the arthritis in my back too.

I figured they are willing to pay for the surgery now so i better not put it off. They may not be willing to pay down the road.

It sounds like yours is worse than mine.I feel your pain man!

Re: under the weather

I prefer Diet Coke ...

Man, it would be great to get out of here. Had a parishioner collapse in the middle of service Sunday morning. Needed to call 911 ... he is recovering nicely now. Also have a parishioner who is at death’s door. A very close friend, and like another “Grandma” to me. Just waiting for “the call.” Been sitting with the family - shucks, I am part of the family - for the last couple of days. Have a large outreach even scheduled for Saturday evening, and maybe a funeral on Friday or Saturday ...

Yep, I could stand a 10 hour drive ...
