This seems like a perfect spot for the Spitfire.I've seen a couple of independent tests with amazing results.
It appears if the 3 blade setup is right, correct wot rpm, that it's a straight change over not requiring a pitch reduction.
Regardless I'm wondering if a 9" may be too light. I've seen lots of pontoon setups with a 9" props.
While it is decidedly under powered at 1000 lbs dry weight I see lots of Merc 4 strokes(hard to find 2 strokes) with 12 and 13" props on
700 lb boats.A little bit apples and oranges and 300 lbs is a lot I'm thinking maybe a 10" prop.
