It's a two story party barge. You've never seen one out on the water? Very common around here.

Re: Unidentified Floating Object

Not knowing what year Yamaha's those are, I am going off of current specs. 8 x 602 lbs = 4812 lbs !!! That's nearly 2? tons of weight on the stern

What the heck is that for? Any other information or photos of it?

clearly the motors are there just cuz the owner can afford them. :) you could power that raft with one just fine.lol thats a piece of art work i wanna see that thing in the water though.

That would make a good bar for the middle of the lake on sunny July afternoons....

I'm not at all sure, but I'm wondering if the word "cajun" might somehow be associated with the explaination of this vessel.

How many gallons per hour does it get, or would gallons per second be a better unit of measurement?

Seriously, I saw a picture of that boat before and the caption stated it was being used in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill cleanup.

Re: Unidentified Floating Object

Hate to be logical:rolleyes:... But that looks like a ferry to me. The weight of all those engines and the stern platform in addition to ballasts, would counter-balance the weight of automobiles. Swapping outboards when necessarry would mean minimal downtime while the problematic one gets repaired. Just my guess.

...But it would make a pretty cool party barge:D.

Right off, i think this is an outboard motor test, much akin to the sort of things that the Underwriters Lab people do. Cool pic. How did you sneak tour camera in there?

What's the proper trailer set up for this boat?
Should I use a bunk or roller trailer?
What Tow Vehicle should I be looking at getting?

Re: Unidentified Floating Object

With that much weight, the hole shot must suck. Trim tabs wouldn't work at all, but definately the poster story for a Doelfin......that is one on each motor.

Looks like four more on the starboard side. Nice rooster tail off the the center ones.
