Unsure which oil to use

Hi Folks,

I'm running a 2000 Evinrude 90 hp 2 stroke. It's oil injected and i'm not sure what to run in it. Will any XD50 oil be okay or should a guy stick with Evinrude? Is there different types of XD50 besides synthetic and regular?

If it is carbureted you can use any TC-W3 rated oil, Dan.

If it is the DFI FICHT version you must use a DFI rated oil, such as XD50

Yep TCW-3 is what you need.

You can use any TC-W3 rated oils, but you will get the best use out of the XD-50. It is made by Evinrude, is semi-synthetic and it smokes less that other oils and keeps the combustion chambers cleaner than other oils that form hard carbon deposits.

But you don't get that wonderful 2 stroke smell first thing in the morning !!!!
