I can't remember if mine fell out or not.Just look up into the middle leg and see the relationship of where the water tube goes and that should tell you which way the bend goes.It should just kind of stick up into a plastic grommet looking thing similar to the one on top of the water pump.Just take your time .if the tube will stay in place then just gently guide it into the top of the water pump.I know my water tube was really loose but it would stay in the powerhead.you will have an extremly hard time trying to guide it from the water pump,much easier to guide it into the water pump instead.
