I have rebuild the carbs and check and adjusted the floats where needed, the motor ran like new then same old thing, sneezes coughs dies, not as bad as before the carbs, adjusted the idle, bumped it up to 700-750 in forward gear, checked and set the timing, 18 degrees BTDC, was hitting at 12 to 14 degrees when first checked. When I shake it off the trailer, takes alittle bit to start, and get away from the "No Wake Area" when I reach the open area 3 out of 5 times it will bogg out and die, just for the fun of it, I started bumping the primer solenoid about four to six times and can push through the bogg. I have moved away from the VRO and premix the fuel, sometimes it smokes as if it is pure oil then other times just barely noticable. Man do I feel like the tail wagging the dog here. It seems like a lean condition, and if there are fixed jets, it would appear to have been corrected a long time ago. I have only had this motor since May 10th, 2010. I have a Clymers and am working throught the troubleshoots, this books appears to jump around a bit.
