My engine on my small 14 foot flat bottom boat lost compression on a cylinder. Its off the boat getting repaired....I hope.
With hunting season closing in on me next weekend I have a friend that is going to let me use an engine he's not using. It is a long shaft outboard and my engine was a short shaft. I understand all about the cavitation plate needing to be even with the bottom of the boat but since this a temporary deal I"m not going to make any modifications to the transom of my boat for this engine. What can I expect running a long shaft engine on a boat that is designed for a short shaft engine.
Thanks
