I'm sure we did JB. I too was in the electronic repair field (ground radio), and if he spent his schooling at 29 Palms and then went to Okinawa and then to Pendleton, I am positive we did.

Semper Fi.

Re: Veterans

guageguy & ob,
WOW
Do they still look at you funny when you try to give blood? :D
My brother and I were in the service at the same time for a while. He was a loadmaster on a C5 Galaxy. He went all over the place. While on leave, we both went to give blood one day. When he told them all of the places he had been in 6 mo. they wouldn't take his blood. :D

Re: Veterans

I do give blood, and you have to answer a bunch of questions and they have a few countries that if you have visited, you will be disqualified.
I just haven't been to any of those countries.

What I am suprised by is that they don't ask about all the inoculations I have had in my life. Before every deployment, we got vaccinated for every disease known to man (thanks gonfshn for not losing MY records :D ) I even was given the anthrax shot back in 1990, but the Red Cross doesn't care, I have that O+ blood they want so badly :p

Oh, and btw Joe, I just listed the places that I was at for more than 2 months, the list would be much longer if I listed all the ports we hit just for a few days ;)

Re: Veterans

If there is anything left in my blood system that would be undesireable ,it would have been injected, shot,or stuffed into me by the USN corpsman. My shot record looked more like a vehicle maintenance history. :)

I think this thread goes a long way toward explaining why iboats members are overwhelmingly conservatives who support our President and his policies.

Nothing like world travel and a few watches in defense of liberty to open one's eyes, huh guys?
