I have a 1995 Pro Line 251 WA and the vinyle covering on the interior is sagging in multi locations. Any and all solutions are welcome. Skiiny

Re: vinyle problem

if its just sagging, it depends. is it seat cushions, or gunnels/sideboards or engine cover? sometimes you can just pop some staples, spray some upholstery adhesive between the vinyl and foam, then pull tight and staple again. Does the vinyl need to be replaced?

No the vinyle is like new and only inside the cabin, I was thinking about commerical spray glue also.Due to the fact that it's attached to fiberglass stapling is out. I'll be pulling the boat soon and the gluing will be a spring project many thanks for the comme back. Skinny

The opinion of my upholstory guy is to use contact cement, it is the closest you will get to factory glue. The spray glues just don't last as long.

spray glue is dependent on the temperature - as soon as it gets heated, it will pull away.

I would suggest INJECTING contact cement in a few areas and spreading it slowly and evenly - using a new needle each time you inject to keep the holes small and invisible - go at an angle. since the interior isn't as open to the elements this could do the trick for you.

Re: vinyle problem

Thanks to all, I'll be going with some kind of commercial glue and over the winter i'll look into and try some applications. Thanks once again. Tight Lines Skinny
