Hello!

I forgot to mention... The engine has a new RapidoMarine LB + :

- new rotor & cap
- new knock sensor
- new intake & exhaust manifolds
- new water pump

The problem was there before the switch & still remains... I think it has something to do with sensors or fuel delivery system... Still looking for suggestions

Thanx

Alex

Is this the same engine If so you need to find out just what type of build it is. I have seen rapido put a combination of parts that are not even close to a orignal PEFS motor...cams heads etc do not assume its a roller cam motor with tbi and vortec heads. The PEFS is a very unusal build...I dont believe GM ever assembled a 4.3 TBI motor with vortec heads....A 454 tbi...If this is the above mentioned motor was it a long block or short..

Bottom line The mefi cannot run the motor correctly if you have the wrong cam or heads and roller cams are expensive and a easy to substitute in a rebuild...AKA a roller is 300 and a flat tappet half the cost

Hi i was having that problem and fixed. First if you have a good fuel pressure and a good injector pattern just go to timming. Forget about timming gun, go little by little in ignition movements by turning off engine each time until you found the best acceleration. I USE BPR6EFS PLUGS.

Never worked on EFI marine engines before have you? You just can't do that on his engine, it won't work.

Check exhaust seals. If one of them is not in place/missing, it is in outdrive clogging the exhaust.
