No these are done also..... thanks for reminding me

1. Clogged fuel filter/fuel water separator------new filter
2. stuck anti siphon valve-----I am assuming this is part of the pickup tube? I could blow air one direction but, not the other and I assume that is normal?
3. clogged fuel tank vent------could blow air through this

So went to autozone and got the fuel pressure gauge.....the fuel lines had a (strator)SP valve so I hooked the gauge to the valve fired up engine no movement on gauge.......I also put the gauge on the line just before the fuel pump and after thinking about it a minute....that would be vacuum not pressure and since it was a pressure gauge.....not a vacuum gauge (I assume there are two different gauges) I removed it but, same deal gauge did not move (bad gauge?)
For future reference can you just plug into the strator?


So mechanic happens to walk by whilst I am messing with the pressure gauge.....he says "you know we sell this stuff call quick clean and it works real good....used it several times" etc etc.....
So I go over the Marina where I have to get gas unless I tow boat to a gas station and what the heck I put the stuff in and 20 gallons fuel......boat ran perfect all weekend nary a hicup......what is up with that?????

Do they know what kind of additive works with their fuel ?

I had never heard of this stuff before and I am not a big fan of additives I do believe in seafoam as it has worked for me in the past......anyhow

Bottom line boat is running like a champ..... I really wonder why though?

One other thing I failed to mention prior to the fuel gauge I pulled the fuel hose and put it in a gas can to eliminate any fuel tank issues.....boat did the same thing as when hooked to tank run great for a little bit then run like crap low rpms......

I did notice when I ran WOT then idled for a while then tried to go back to WOT it seemed to be more pronounced....IE I could almost cause it to run like crap.....however NONE of this is happening now......I can idle around then hit it and it takes off....????

Have you checked the spray patterns of the injectors...At this point it seems you have unknowingly cleared some fuel obstruction or cleaned a electrical contact of some sort. As to the fuel pressure line showing no pressure dunno how you did that but if the pressure held steady... after the high pressure pump... its working down line. The Gi is a old engine i would have the injectors sonically cleaned along with the new orings and screens...should cost 50-75 dollars and if a simple fuel additive cleared it up enough to run...defenitaley find someone to clean the TB it will plug again. A real WAG would be you cleared up the Fuel Press Regulator 1

Thanks for the ideas......if and when it acts up again.....will pull carb and have it gone through.....for now I am wore out messing with it....ready to relax and enjoy the boat at least a couple times....I hope
