Good. I may just go with them! Thanks a bunch. I want a decent tower, but I don't want to break the bank. I've never been behind a tower, but I can feel the downward pull when I try certain things.

Thanks, that's the one I've been looking at. Its chea! Spit does have 4 bolts per foot, and no heim joints? I thought a little flex in the tower would help keep some of the force off the boat? Is this not necessarily the case? Just a sales pitch from the companies that use them?

Think about what you're saying - where would the force be going?

Re: wanting to purchase a wake tower

The way monster puts it makes sense to me, but I know they may be simply trying to sell their product. They say heim joints ensure only axial (push and pull) forces are transferred to the boat, instead of torquing (twisting) forces. So they're saying it allows the tower to push straight at the mounting point rather than twisting on it, which they claim is what cracks the gel coat.

I just wanna make sure this is or isn't true before I weigh the decision of a tower. I like monsters prices and towers, but if a DIY tower is better for the same or less money because they don't have heim joints and they do have 4 screws per foot I'd be foolish to get a monster tower.

My only remaining comment would be - take a look at every factory tower you can find and see how many use heim joints.

I've never seen a tower up close. Factory or otherwise. But thank-you for your help.
